The Völkl Racetiger SL Master slalom ski is not for comfort-oriented skiers—everyone else will love it.

The 3D Glass construction of the Racetiger SL Master offers several advantages. It delivers a smoother, more progressive flex while maintaining exceptional edge grip thanks to reinforced fiberglass inserts along the sidewalls and a dual Titanal laminate. The specially positioned Tailored Carbon Tip fibers provide precise turn initiation through the shovel and significantly enhance the ski’s torsional stiffness.

Compared to the standard Racetiger SL, the Master version features a 10 mm World Cup plate and a more aggressive sidecut. The result is a ski that excels at carving powerful, precise turns.

By precisely controlling the fiber thickness and orientation down to the millimeter, engineers can fine-tune the ski’s stiffness, torsional rigidity, and overall performance. This ensures that energy is transferred exactly where it is needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are lightweight, enable quick and agile turn initiation with less effort, and generate energy rapidly for a highly responsive ride.

World Cup Ash Woodcore

Previously reserved exclusively for World Cup race skis, this highly elastic hardwood core acts as an energy reservoir. As the ski bends during turn initiation, the wood fibers stretch and store elastic energy. At the end of the turn, this stored energy is released in a controlled manner, providing outstanding rebound and dynamic acceleration from one turn to the next.

3D Glass

3D Glass technology enhances both handling and stability, particularly in demanding snow conditions. Compared with conventional fiberglass constructions, the three-dimensional, multi-layered fiberglass structure positioned in front of and behind the binding area delivers stronger edge grip and a more energetic rebound throughout the turn.
