Mounting

bootsize:
Dear Customer,

for an optimum mounting of your binding we need to know the length from the sole of your ski boots. You can find these information on the outside or inside on the heel of your ski boots. The length information is marked with ?mm?.
If you can?t find the length information you can also measure the length of your ski boots from heel to toe. That information is important, because the length of the sole can be different although the shoe size is the same. We also can mount the binding if we only get your regular shoe size but will not give any guarantee for the right position of your binding.

Product information "Völkl PEREGRINE 80 + Lowride 12 LR GW 2026/27 Allmountainski"

The Völkl Peregrine 80 is the perfect all-mountain ski for skiers looking for the ideal balance of sporty performance and effortless turn initiation.

The Peregrine 80 achieves this balance through a Titanal Band running along the center of the ski, combined with a Multilayer Woodcore. Together, these elements create a smooth, well-balanced flex. Many members of our team even found the Peregrine 80 to be more agile than the Peregrine 82. This wasn't due to the different waist widths, but rather the different constructions of the two skis. The Peregrine 82 feels slightly more planted on the piste, while the Peregrine 80 offers quicker handling. To further enhance directional stability, the Peregrine 80 is equipped with Tailored Carbon Tips, which increase torsional stiffness in the shovel area for more precise handling and stronger edge hold throughout the turn.

Snow-How staff review:

- Surprisingly agile for an 80 mm waist ski
- Easy to initiate turns while still offering sporty performance
- An excellent all-round ski with outstanding value for money

Technologies:

Tailored Carbon Tip

The innovative Tailored Carbon Tip manufacturing process stitches individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material, allowing them to be positioned precisely along the ski's force lines. This creates entirely new possibilities, particularly in the shovel area, which plays a decisive role in the ski's handling characteristics.

By precisely controlling the thickness and orientation of the carbon fibers, Völkl can fine-tune the ski's stiffness, torsional rigidity, and overall performance. Energy is directed exactly where it is needed, resulting in a lightweight construction that requires less effort to initiate turns while delivering rapid energy transfer and exceptional responsiveness. The Tailored Carbon Tips set a new benchmark for precision, direct turn initiation, and dynamic skiing enjoyment.

Multilayer Woodcore

The Multilayer Woodcore features extremely strong hardwood layers extending from the sidewalls into the sandwich construction, combined with a lighter, more flexible wood core in the center.

This combination offers several performance advantages. The hardwood sections maximize power transmission, improve edge grip, and provide additional support when the ski is subjected to high forces. The lighter softwood core reduces overall weight, making the ski more agile and easier to maneuver. Together, these materials create an optimized flex pattern along the entire length of the ski, resulting in more precise control while combining agility with outstanding stability.

3D Radius Sidecut

The 3D Radius Sidecut combines three different turn radii within a single ski to maximize versatility across a wide range of terrain and turn shapes.

The larger radii in the tip and tail provide excellent stability for long, fast turns while making the ski easy to control and maneuver. They also reduce the tendency to catch an edge and allow smooth transitions into and out of turns.

The shorter radius underfoot makes initiating short turns remarkably easy, delivering lively, responsive handling and effortless performance at moderate speeds.
