Activities that involve exploring the great outdoors with sporting challenges are becoming increasingly popular. These include freeriding and ski touring. As with hardly any other sport, the right equipment is crucial, because the wrong material means not only less fun in alpine terrain but also higher risk. The market for protective equipment in particular is currently under great pressure to innovate, and avalanche backpacks in particular are becoming increasingly popular.
Our store manager Kai Pagel is himself an enthusiastic freerider and had the opportunity to test the avalanche backpacks of Scott's Patrol series last winter. In our interview we talk to him about the fascination of freeriding, what to look out for and his experiences with the Scott Patrol.
